This is a 6 x week sewing course. Weekly sessions.
This is an ongoing course, start date as soon as you can! Weekly sessions morning or evening. Please get in touch if the advertised days don’t suit and we can try to form a class on an alternate day /evening depending on demand.
Details of course:
You will learn to determine your size based on personal measurements,choose suitable pattern size, to read a paper pattern, lay up and cut your fabric, interlining and lining or reversible side. Pin and stitch together,, attach bias,front ties and pockets. And voilá! You will have made your very own gorgeous jacket perfect to take you all the way through our Irish spring/summer. With the skills to make many more!
We will supply the pattern,sewing machines & tools.Students will source their own fabric.
You are welcome to bring your own machine.
Material’s required:
A light cotton is recommended
2.5 meters Outer fabric
2.5 meters inner or reversible fabric or lining.
2.5 meters of blanket inter lining (available to purchase in studio) or a light weight wadding.
Fabric width 90cm min ( max 145cm)
Bias binding 5 x meters
Good quality thread.
Please note this course is built around a 6 x week completion time frame for the average student but this will depend on individual skill and progress and can take longer. Additional weeks can be added if necessary.
